The Solstices
Winter & Summer quarter points.
Winter Solstice/Yule
- 20th - 23rd December.
Summer Solstice/Litha - 20th - 23rd June.
The solstices are a pause. A chance
to step back and see where we have been. Also, take stock and see where we want to go.
A time to express our hopes
and intentions, assimiliate our learnings and to celebrate our being alive.
When light is increasing, from winter to summer
solstice, all individuals are finding and expressing their own identity.
When the light is decreasing, from summer to winter
solstice, nature and life as a whole, is integrating itself into a more social way of life.
The Equinoxes
Spring Equinox/Ostara - 21st - 22nd March
Autumn Equinox/Mabon
- 20th - 23rd Sepember.
The equinoxes are times of change and
transformation. Time to take action and move into new energy patterns. A time to release the past and move forwards.
They
are the beginnings of seasonal changes; spring, with its promise of summer and autumn with its promises of winter.
The
equinoxes are a chance to see the direction in which you're going and to be clear about what you are going to do with this
energy burst.
The Cross Quarter Festivals

Beltane - End April/beginning
May
Lughnasadh/Lammas - Beginning of August

The are the great fire festivals.
They fall at the peaks of the four seasons.

It is
the right time to enhance and use the developing energy. To bring about manifestation through the power of our deepest
wishes and positive intent.
Times for positive change.
