Treating Blisters
To help blisters to heal, apply one neat drop of Lavender
essential oil & one drop of chamomile. Pat in thoroughly, but carefully.
Chapped Skin
To help releive chapped skin, make up the following oil &
massage over the affected area:
30ml base oil (almond, etc)
10 drops Geranium EO
10 drops Chamomile EO
5 drops Lemon EO
5 drops Lavender EO
Chapped Lips
Mix the following & apply to the lips, to help heal chapped
lips:
1 dessert spoon of Aloe Vera gel
2 drops Chamomile EO
2 drops Geranium EO
Cold Sores
To treat cold sores, put 1 drop of geranium EO onto a cotton
but & apply directly to the cold sore.. if possible, as soon as it is suspected.
Insect Bites
To help heal insect bites, remove the sting, if applicable.
Apply 1 drop of neat Lavender, or Chamomile to the site.
Mouth Ulcers
Make a mouth wash, by adding one tea spoon of the mixture
below, to a glass of warm water. Swish well around the mouth, but DO NOT swallow:
1 dessertspoon of brandy
2 drops Peppermint EO
4 drops Lemon EO
2 drops Geranium EO
2 drops Thyme EO
Blend the following together & use a little to smooth
around the affected area:
1 tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel, or liquid
2 drops Chamomile EO
1 drop Thyme EO
Headaches
Several oils can ease headaches, but as theae arise from
a variety of causes, look under the appropriate headings:
General Headache - for no apparent reason
Mix the following oils:
3 drops Lavender
1 drop Peppermint
Now mix 1 drop of this combination, with 1 drop of
base oil (almond, etc)
Massage around the temples, the base of the skull & along
the hairline.
Lavender or Peppermint can also be used on their own, to
ease headaches.
Nervous Headache
Follow the treatment above, but use these EOs instead:
3 drops Lavender
1 drop Chamomile
Nettle Rash (Urticaria)
Apply 2 neat drops of Lavender EO, to the stung area, asap.
Make up the following mixture & smooth it over the rash:
1 tablespoon Aloe Vera gel or liquid
5 drops Lavender EO
5 Drops Chamomile EO
Sinusitis
Use the following combination of oils, in a steam inhalation:
3 drops Rosemary EO
1 drop Thyme EO
1 drop Peppermint EO
Make a blend using the following. Put 1 drop of the
mixture on a tissue & inhale:
2 drops Rosemary EO
1 drop Geranium EO
1 drop Eucalyptus EO
After Sun Oil & Bath
After Sun Oil
Blend the following & apply as needed:
70ml Almond oil
30ml Sesame oil
10 drops Lavender EO
5 drops Chamomile EO
1 drop Bergamot EO
2 drops Geranium EO
After Sun Bath
Blend the following & add the whole lot to the bath:
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
4 drops Chamomile EO
3 drops Geranium EO
1 drop Peppermint EO
Muscle Fatigue (related to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)
People who have had ME for a long time, might have noticed
a pattern to their fatigue. If this is so, use this information to your advantage and treat yourself with the oils,
before an attack is due.
If you have continual muscle fatigue, choose a time when
you have nothing to do, except apply the oils.
Keep the oils handy, so you can use them when the best opportunity
presents itself.
The aim is to avoid apathy taking over, because then, you
wont be able to help yourself.
Apply at least twice a day.
Muscle Fatigue Formula
30ml base oil (almond oil, etc)
10 drops Rosemary EO
5 drops Thyme EO
5 drops Cypress EO
10 drops Eucalyptus EO
Insomnia (related to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis
(ME)
Oils to use for Insomnia
Valerian
Marjoram
Chamomile Roman
Clary Sage
Sandalwood
Lemon
Blend 30 drops of this mixture, with 30ml base oil and
use as a body massage.
4 drops of any of the above oils can also be used in a bath.
Depression (related to Myalgic
Encephalomyelitis (ME)

Concentration/Memory Loss (related to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME)

to aid concentration/loss of memory

10 drops Grapefruit EO 8 drops Basil EO 7 drops Lavender
EO 5 drops Rosemary EO
This mixture can be inhaled, directly from the bottle.
A couple of drops can be placed on a tissue/handkerchief & inhaled. You could also add a few drops to a spray bottle
filled with water & spray around the room.
Room Fragrance
Put your favourite essential oil on a cotton wool ball &
push it behind radiator pipes!
You can also put a couple of drops of EO onto a lightbulb..
as the light bulb heats up, the fragrance is releases. It's best to put no more than a couple of drops on though, as
the oil will run down the bulb if there's too much on.
Add around 10 drops of EO (depending how strong you want
the scent to be) to water, in a spray bottle.. & use as you would air freshener.
